Chennai to showcase

Trisha was born and brought up in Chennai, studied at Sacred Heart Matriculation School and later did BBA at Ethiraj College. She’d once had a dream of being a criminal psychologist. She stepped into the limelight early when she won the Miss Madras title at just 16 and was later a finalist in the Miss India pageant. Soon she began getting acting offers, debuting in Lesa Lesa and then went on to have breakthrough successes like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Saamy and Ghilli, making her a household name.

A short chapter in Bollywood

Trisha also forayed into Hindi cinema with Khatta Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar. Her performance was well received, though the film did not do well commercially.
