One Piece season 2 cast reveal the best advice they got playing the Straw Hats | Exclusive
You are similar to Sanji that way brother. I love you too. I love you too bad. Hi, this is Bhavana from India. Today I'm really excited for everyone to watch season 2 because I did get an opportunity to watch a few episodes and it's so good. Having watched the anime as well. I am really enjoying this. But I wanted to know from you all, what is that one thing that you all kept in mind when you knew that you are coming on board for a life adaptation? Because, you know, it's always difficult, especially when you have, like, solid fans of anime and manga exist in real life as well. What is that one thing that convinced you that listen, I think I should be a part of this. Ohh, you got to be humble. Sounds like you're not going to be. No, just be Zorro. He's never humble. Yeah, right. Ah, well, man, I can't be 100% true. You go fan. Yeah, you know, for me, I'll say when we when we were first auditioning for this project, there was a lot of secrecy behind the name. You know, when when the audition came in, it didn't come in as a one piece audition. It came in as a audition first. I can't even remember the crazy name that they had. And the character name was like Roberto or something that, you know, something that wasn't USAP. So. So I think for me, something that I felt like was when I saw where it filmed and seeing that it was going to film in Africa and South Africa. And somehow to me that was like the thing that showed me like, oh, this, this is absolutely in alignment for for me. And then obviously it's it's, it's filled with divinity and alignment for us bringing these characters to life. So so it's been awesome. Lovely Emily yeah. I mean, I think like I I was a fan of one piece before I came out to this project and I think I've been waiting for something like this. You know, it was always a dream to be a part of a live action adaptation and to be a part of one that ended up making not only the fans proud, but the original creator Otis and say proud. I think was was massive. And yeah, I of course, when I got the chance to be Nami, I absolutely jumped at it. I felt like there wasn't. I didn't want it. Yeah. I didn't want anyone else to be Nami. I wanted it to be me. Absolutely. Have you met? I wasn't sure at all, to be honest. Especially growing up watching and reading One Piece. I didn't want to mess it up, so there was a lot of pressure, but once I met Orasan and him giving approval and approval, his approval is the ultimate seal of approval. So that kind of got me going, you know, I wanted to show him what I could bring to Zorro and to the fan. So yeah, I I did my best and I hope you guys like it. I think I can say for everyone, we love it. And I'm sure everyone is looking forward to Season 2 as much as I loved watching it. So thank you so much. That's all the time I have. But all the very best and good luck. Thank you. Thank you very much. Have a good one. Yes. Hello. Hi, this is Bhavna from India Today. How are you? All the better for doing great. How are you? I am great, thank you so much and thank you for all the entertainment. I think that I watched a couple of episodes and Oh my God. Having been a fan of the manga and anime itself, I just feel you all are doing a great job at it. But I want to know from both of you when you even came on board for this, because like I said, there are purest fans who have watched the anime and perhaps read the manga as well. Skepticism is very natural, but for our actors who are coming on board and stepping into those characters or into the shoes of those characters, what is it? What was the best piece of advice that you received so as to not get affected by all the skepticism, at least in the beginning? Best piece of advice to not get? I mean, I don't know, it's such a particular experience, you know, I don't know if not many people have very useful advice because not many people have ever. Really. Yeah, like, not this. It's difficult. Not on average. You've never really met anybody who goes who's been through it. So, you know, your parents can give you advice. I'm sure your parents gave you advice. Yeah, and gave me advice, but they don't know, you know, I mean, like anytime they give me advice, I'd be like, bro, shut up. You don't know. I think maybe it's like, honestly, what made me feel good about everything was just like, it was honestly like these guys like like feeling like, you know, at at the end of the day, if the show does well or if people don't like it, we have each other and and we've had so many incredible experiences shooting this show together. That is already so worth our energy and our time. And I think just loving these this people makes everything worth it. And it makes me feel calm about whatever happens with the show. And luckily, everyone loved it. Luckily everyone. Yeah. Touch wood. Yeah. You know, Hey, I hope you guys love season 2 also, you know, I'm sure they are going to. But tell me, how similar or different are you from Luffy and from Sanchi in real life? Because both those characters are really, like something. So like, how similar we are to them. Yeah, I see. Would you prefer, would you prefer if instead of saying it about ourselves, we say it about each other? Sure, let's do that. Each other would be great. Yeah. Right. That would be more interesting. I'll say this. OK. I think Sanji is a very charming dude. He's got a lot of style. And he just has a thing where like he's so good at communicating with like people and like, I don't know, just like you're just like this charm to him, you know, like he's a cool dude. And I'm being task is one of the coolest dudes I know. Like he just has this like swag about him, you know, like you, you talk to him. I don't. And and it's like, wow, like this is a cool guy, you know, like he's just like, yeah, like what's up? I'm task. I surf, I cook, I do martial arts. I have a 6 pack like I don't I don't say that whenever you people he he doesn't he doesn't say that, but like, and Sanji doesn't say it either. He's just cool. You know, he doesn't have to say it. He just is like my buddy Taz. He's like that. He has all of this amazing, incredible abilities and traits and he doesn't he doesn't say it. He just does his thing and you just like see, see him and you, you know, he's just, he's so cool and at the same time he's so humble, very much like Sanji. Sanji could like kick anyone to death if he felt like it, but he he doesn't mention it. He's just like, it's just the thing that he could do. But he doesn't, he doesn't have to make it a big deal. You know, he's a he's tough, but he's soft and task is like that too. He's a tough dude, very passionate and very determined about everything he does. But he can, he also has this very like soft side to him and very caring and very loving and he doesn't mind being silly, you know. So yeah, I think that's you are similar to Sanji that way, brother, I love you too. I love you too bad. OK, alright. Turn. It's his turn. It's his turn now. Zip. I gave you a lot of flowers, so I don't expect less from you. Exactly Now you don't get to Yep. And and any peeps any peeps you're going to get kicked in the Namkin. So I think one of the, I think the most powerful metaphors and got them still got it right. You can focus now, can focus now. I think some of the most powerful metaphors or symbolisms in the world are the ones that require the least amount of explanation. And I think that's why Luffy is a figure has been a thing that so many people have resonated with and and so many people have felt so connected and passionate to because it's just the simple embodiment of exuberance being the winner in the long run of all. Exuberance being the winner in the face of obstacles, exuberance being the winner in the face of problems. Exuberance being the winner in, in the face of of, of dire, dire conditions and, and, and and emotional turmoil. And Inyaki just has this incredible way of, I think presenting as a very simple, a very, a very simplistic, easy to please, easygoing person with, with a really wild and, and again, like presenting initially initially silly like way of being, but that that is kind of like a Trojan horse housing for just an incredibly intelligent human being. That it has really profound wisdom and ways of seeing the world that constantly surprise. I think me and and the whole crew and and the entire cast is able to uplift us all at times where we have no power, energy left to uplift ourselves and, and able to like anyone can, anyone can present like exuberance, right? But the way that you can present exuberance while giving it enough enough depth for people to be able to connect with it on that level is like a is totally such a fine needle to thread through such a small hole. And he does it so incredibly well. And I honestly, I have found the will to keep going and do better, not just not just at work, but in my everyday life, thanks to his presence in my life, which I think is the same as everybody who who connect to the the character itself. Absolutely. Thank you so much. I love you too Jas, but thank you so much for this.
