Educational Qualification

  General  Duty (GD)

 

(i) Bachelor’s
graduate students from any recognized university with a 60% mark together (ie
first semester to 8th semester of BE / B.Tech Course or first year to last
year for Bachelor students wherever applicable).

 

(ii) Mathematics
and Physics as intermediate or phase XIIth subjects of the 10 + 2 + 3
curriculum or equivalent to a 60% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics.
{Students who do not have Physics and Maths at 10 + 2 (middle) or equivalent
level are not eligible for Standard (GD)}.

 

  Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL-SSA)

 

Candidates holding
a current / valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) license issued / approved by
the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Undergraduate degree – XIIth
pass (Physics and Mathematics) with a total mark of 60% in total.

 

  Technology (Engineering and Electricity)

 

(i) Engineering
degree with a total of 60% marks or You must have passed Phase A and B
examinations at the Institute of Engineering (India) in any of the fields
listed below with a 60% mark: –

 

(a) Engineering
branch.
Naval architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or
Mechatronics or Industrial and Manufacturing or Metallurgy or Design or
Aeronautical or Aerospace.

 

(b) Electrical
branch.

Electrical or Electrical or Communication or Tools or Tools and Control or
Electrical and Communication or Power Engg. Or Power Electronics.

 

 All the above streams of Engg. It must be approved by the All India Council of
Technical Education (AICTE).

 

(ii) At least 60%
of the total marks in Physics and Maths in 12th grade. or

 

Three-year Diploma
Courses with 60% aggregate.

Selection Process

 

Stage -I

 

(a)Short listing of applications. Conditions for short listing will be based on a high percentage
of marks in the eligibility test and the termination of the eligibility of a
particular branch or institution may be increased by more than 60% if
additional applications with higher% are accepted.

 

(b) First Slection. People
on the shortlist will be called to the Preliminary Choice on a date and time
which will include a Mental Testing / Comprehension Test and a Visual and
Visual Assessment (PP&DT) test. Eligibility tests will be in English only
and will be of the intended type. During PP & DT the nominees are
expected to speak and discuss English. However, they are free to speak Hindi
if they wish to do so. The date / time and location of the First Selection
once shared will not be changed in any category.

 

Stage -II

 

·
Preliminary Selection. Candidates eligible for
the First Election will be called the Final Election. The date and place of
the Final Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded to the Indian Coast Guard
website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The Final Election will be held in a
limited manner from the end of Aug / Early Sep to the Beginning of Nov 2021.
The Final Election will include Psychological Examination, Group Work and
Discussion (Personality Examination). All documents / certificates verified
during the PSB also need to be produced authentic during the FSB.

Schedule of First Choice Examination.
Candidates must arrive at the designated center at least 30 minutes before
the start of the examination. The date and time of the test will be announced
on the Coast Guard website
www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in. The First Election will be conducted gradually from the
beginning of Jan 2022 onwards
