• Granthi (Sikh Candidate) : Bachelor Degree in Any Stream in Any Recognized University in India. / Individual should have ‘Gyani’ in Punjabi.
• Padre (Christian Canddiate) : Bachelor Degree in Any Stream in Any Recognized University in India. / Individual should have been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is on the approved list of the local Bishop.
• Maulvi (Shia) (Muslim Candidate) : Bachelor Degree in Any Stream in Any Recognized University in India. Individual should have Alim in Arabic or Adeeb-e-Mahir/ Urdu Mahir in Urdu.
• RT Budhist (Budhist Candidate) : Bachelor Degree in Any Stream in Any Recognized University in India. Who  have  been  ordained  Monk/Buddhist Priest, by  the  Appropriate  Authority.  The term Appropriate Authority will mean Head Priest of the Monastery where the  person  has  been  initiated  into  priesthood.  The  head  priest  should  be  in  possession  of  Geshe  (PhD)  of  Khanpa  or  Lopon  or  Rabjam  with  proper certificate from Monastery

How to Apply

• Step 1 : Visit the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in and complete the captcha to enter the site.
• Step 2 : Click on the 'JCO/OR Apply/Login' or 'Agniveer Apply/Login' section on the homepage.
• Step 3: Click on 'Registration' and read the instructions carefully before clicking 'Continue'.
• Step 4: Register yourself using either your Aadhaar Number or Matriculation Certificate details.
• Step 5: Fill in your personal details, mobile number, and email to receive an OTP for verification.
• Step 6 : Create a profile and log in using your Username (Email ID) and the Password you created.
• Step 7 : Access the 'Apply Online' link on your dashboard to see the categories you are eligible for.
• Step 8 : Select your desired post (e.g., GD, Tech, Sepoy Pharma) and fill in the educational and address details.
• Step 9 : Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-size photograph and signature in the required format.
• Step 10 : Pay the application fee of 250/- online through the SBI portal using UPI, Net Banking, or Card.
• Step 11 : Preview your application to check for errors, click 'Submit', and download the final PDF for reference.   

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) — A computer-based MCQ test covering general knowledge, math, and science.

• Step 2: Typing Test — Mandatory only for Agniveer Office Assistant / Store Keeper Technical (conducted during Phase 1).

• Step 3: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — Includes a 1.6 Km run, pull-ups, 9-foot ditch, and zig-zag balance at the rally site.

• Step 4 : Physical Measurement Test (PMT) — Verification of height, weight, and chest expansion against specified standards.

• Step 5 : Adaptability Test — A situational assessment to evaluate suitability for varied geographic and operational conditions.

• Step 6 : Document Verification — Scrutiny of original educational, domicile, character, and category certificates.

• Step 7 : Medical Examination — A comprehensive health checkup by Army Medical Teams to ensure military fitness.

• Step 8 : Personal Interview — Required only for the JCO Religious Teacher (RT) post after clearing the written and physical rounds.

• Step 9 : Final Merit List — Preparation of the final results based on exam scores and physical marks (where applicable).
