How to Apply

  • Visit the Official Website : Go to www.highcourtchd.gov.in to access the online application link.

  • Register Online : Complete the registration process by providing your personal details, a valid email ID, and an active mobile number.

  • Upload Documents : Upload a scanned recent passport-size photograph (less than 30 days old) against a white background and your scanned signature.

  • Pay Application Fee : Pay the non-refundable fee online; the amount is 1000/- for General candidates and 800/- for reserved categories from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.

  • Review and Submit : Carefully check all filled particulars, as no changes are permitted after the final submission.

  • Print Application : Save and print a hard copy of the submitted application form for future testimonial checking.

  • Obtain NOC (if applicable) : If you are a regular government employee, obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your Head of Department to produce when called.

Selection Process

  • Word Processing/Transcription Test

  • This is the primary merit-based test for the recruitment. Candidates must perform the following:
    • English Shorthand Dictation : Candidates will take down a dictation at a speed of 100 w.p.m.
    • Duration : The shorthand dictation lasts for 5 minutes.
    • Transcription : The dictation must be transcribed on a computer at a speed of 20 w.p.m.
    • Mistake Limit : To qualify, a candidate must not commit more than 3% mistakes. 
  • Spread Sheets Test

  • This test is mandatory but only qualifying in nature.
    • Total Marks : 10 marks.
    • Duration : 10 minutes.
    • Qualifying Criteria : Candidates must secure at least 40% marks (4 or more marks) to pass.
  • Final Merit and Testimonials Checking

    • Merit List : The final list of qualified candidates is prepared based on their performance in the Word Processing/Transcription Test.
    • Verification : Successful candidates will be notified via SMS or Email to present their original testimonials (qualifications, date of birth, caste certificates, etc.) for verification.
    • NOC for Government Employees : If you are currently working in a Government or Semi-Government department, you must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your Head of Department during this stage.
