How to Apply

Visit the Portal : Go to the official MP Online website.

Locate Recruitment : Find and click the link for “Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board – Assistant Engineer (Environment) Recruitment 2026”.

Register/Login : New users must complete a one-time registration, while existing users can log in directly.

Fill Application Form : Enter all required educational, personal, and professional details, such as educational qualifications, Name, and Date of Birth.

Upload Documents : Upload scanned copies of required documents (e.g., Degree certificates, photo, signature, Domicile).

Pay Application Fee : Pay the prescribed application fee using UPI, Netbanking, or Debit/Credit cards.

Submit and Print : Review the form carefully and submit it, ensuring to download a copy for future reference.

Selection Process

Online Application

• Submission : Applications must be submitted online only through the MP Online official portal (Iforms.mponline.gov.in).

• Dates : The application window is open from April 10, 2026, to April 30, 2026.

• Correction Window : Applicants can correct errors in their forms between April 13, 2026, and May 02, 2026.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Weightage : The online exam accounts for 80% of the final merit score (80 out of 100 marks).

• Content : The objective-type questions cover environmental engineering (PG level), environmental acts/rules, general knowledge (with a focus on MP), and basic IT/logic.

• Shortlisting : MP Online will provide the board with a list of candidates equal to three times the number of vacant posts for each category based on exam performance.

Interview

• Weightage : The interview accounts for 20% of the final merit score (20 out of 100 marks).

• Panel : Interviews are conducted by a three-member committee constituted by the Chairman of the MPPCB, consisting of a chairman and two expert members.

Final Merit List and Document Verification

• Preparation : A final merit list is prepared by combining scores from the CBT and the interview.

• Tie-Breaking : If scores are equal, the older candidate is prioritized. If ages are also equal, the candidate with higher marks in High School (10th) is preferred.

• Verification : Candidates on the merit list are called for document verification. Original documents (education, age proof, caste certificate, etc.) must be produced at this time.

Appointment and Probation

• Probation : Selected candidates are appointed on a two-year probation period.

• Finalization : Upon successful completion of probation, they are placed in the Level 12 pay scale (₹56,100–₹1,77,500).

• Additional Requirements : Candidates must provide a health certificate from a District Medical Officer and undergo police character verification.
