Selection Process
Screening of Candidates : Candidates are initially shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria and academic performance provided in their applications. Computer Based Test : A written examination is conducted consisting of objective-type questions divided into subject knowledge and executive aptitude. Minimum Qualifying Marks : Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in each section of the online test to be eligible for the next stage. Personal Interview : Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview to evaluate their technical competency and managerial skills. Weightage Assignment : The final merit list is prepared by assigning 85% weightage to the online test marks and 15% weightage to the interview performance. Document Verification : Successful candidates must present original certificates for verification of age, qualification, and category status. Medical Fitness Test : Final selection is subject to candidates meeting the medical standards prescribed by the NTPC Medical Board. Final Appointment : Candidates who clear all stages and the medical exam are issued a formal offer of appointment for the position.
