Post Wise Qualification
Assistant Sub-Station Attendant : ITI in Electrical / Electrician/ Wireman (60% Marks), 01 Year Apprenticeship in PSTCL / PSPCL OR Diploma in Electrical / Electronics and Communication / Instrumentation and Process Control (60% Marks). Assistant Lineman (ALM) : 10th Class Passed, ITI (NAC) in Lineman Trade. Electrician Grade-II : ITI in Electrician Trade with (60% Marks) OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with (50 Marks). Note : Candidates Must have Passed Class 10th with Punjabi Subject.

Selection Process
Online Application Submission : Candidates must apply online through the official PSTCL website within the notified dates. Online Written Examination (Computer Based Test) : The core selection method is a written exam focusing on technical knowledge (ITI level) and general aptitude. The exam evaluates candidates on professional knowledge of the trade (Electrician/Wireman) and Punjabi language knowledge. Note : For some posts, a physical skill test or document verification follows this, but the primary elimination is the written exam. Document Verification (DV) : Candidates who qualify in the written exam are called for document verification to confirm eligibility (Age, ITI certificate, Punjabi proficiency, Category certificates). Final Merit List & Selection : The final merit list is prepared based on the marks secured in the written examination.
