How to Apply

• Step 1 : Portal Access – Log on to either the MHA's official website (www.mha.gov.in) or the NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) to find the recruitment link.

• Step 2 : Sign-Up Consent – Carefully read the instructions on the registration page, check the "I Agree" checkbox, and click the 'Registration/Sign-up' button.

• Step 3 : Account Creation – Fill in your basic personal and contact information to generate your unique Application Sequence Number and password, which will be sent to your email.

• Step 4 : Re-Login – Log out of the initial registration page and log back in using the credentials sent to your registered email address.

• Step 5 : Profile Completion – Enter your remaining detailed information, including category/sub-category, and educational/GATE eligibility details.

• Step 6 : Document Upload – Upload a scanned color photograph (100–200KB) and your signature (80–150KB) in jpg/jpeg format.

• Step 7 : Application Preview – Review the entire application to ensure all data is accurate and uploaded images are completely clear before hitting the final submit.

• Step 8 : Fee Remittance – Proceed through the integrated SBI EPAY LITE payment gateway to complete the examination fee and recruitment processing charges online or generate an offline e-challan.

• Step 9 : Final Printout – Save and print a hard copy of the submitted application form along with the transaction receipt for all future verification references.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Shortlisting based on GATE Score Card — Candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) are shortlisted based on their best GATE score from 2023, 2024, or 2025.

• Step 2 : Practical Skill Test — Shortlisted candidates undergo a practical-based technical skill test at Delhi, carrying a maximum of 250 marks.

• Step 3 : Personality Interview — Candidates face an interview at Delhi worth 175 marks to assess subject knowledge and communication skills.

• Step 4 : Final Merit List Preparation — A final merit list is prepared based on the combined performance in the GATE Score (750 marks), Skill Test, and Interview.

• Step 5 : Character Verification & Medical Exam — Final selection is subject to the successful completion of character & antecedent verification followed by a medical examination.
